Seamless steel pipe

Due to different manufacturing processes, it is divided into two types: hot-rolled (extruded) seamless steel pipes and cold-drawn (rolled) seamless steel pipes.

Cold drawn (rolled) tubes are divided into two types: round tubes and special-shaped tubes.

a. Process flow overview

Hot-rolled (extruded seamless steel pipe): The round tube billet is marked for the straightening hydraulic test (or flaw detection) for the heating and perforating three-roll cross-rolling, continuous rolling or extrusion de-piping sizing (or diameter reduction) cooling billet.

Cold-drawn (rolled) seamless steel pipe: round tube billet is heated, perforated, headed, annealed, pickled, oiled (copper-plated), cold-drawn (cold-rolled) billet, heat-treated, straightened, and hydraulically tested (flaw detection) marked for storage.
